.AVI and .WMV video files are pretty standard because of the decent compression to file size ratio. Unfortunately, they are not supported by iOS devices. The best way to play these on any iOS device (or any device for that matter) is VLC. VLC is a free video player that allows you to watch all kinds of file types. Available on Windows, OSX, iOS and Android. The codecs are free and it doesn’t add any bloatware to your PC.
Navfree is the best GPS app out for iOS devices. The ease of use, the functionality and the price blow all others out of the water. It allows you to download map packs rather then constantly needing to be connected to a cell tower, has 1000s of POIs built in, has turn-by-turn navigation, night time / low glare mode. a pretty neat 3D navigation mode and more. Best part? It is absolutely free.
